Sadhana School of Reiki

Why Sadhana School of Reiki?

Sadhana means daily spiritual practice. It is the foundation of all spiritual endeavor. Sadhana is your personal, individual spiritual effort. It is the main tool you use to work on yourself to achieve the purpose of life. It can be done alone or in a group.

Sadhana is now also a part of my Sikh spiritual name – Sadhana Jiwan Kaur.

I’ve always taught Reiki as a spiritual path and I have been doing so since 2011. As there are many changes happening this year in my life, it is also a good time to change some things about my Reiki classes and to formalize the connection to spirituality that I bring to my teachings.

I very much enjoy teaching and each group of students that assembles. Each Reiki class has its own unique vibe and focus and I am so happy I can accommodate different interests. As my own Reiki training is both in Usui style (what is typically called “traditional” style) and Komyo ReikiDo (straight from Japan style), I am able to introduce the simplicity of Reiki teachings yet frame them in a way that our Western minds find satisfactory.

The focus, however, is always the same, how to make Reiki a part of your spiritual journey. It has many lessons to offer and its simplicity can be misleading. As the time goes on, the gifts of Reiki become clear and an appreciated remedy to today’s hectic lifestyles. I hope Reiki finds its way into your life as well!

Reiki Master

Reiki Master training is for those who have completed Reiki 2 and feel ready to continue with their education and growth. Reiki Master program is an intense course of study that takes you on a journey and brings you closer to what you were born to do in this world.

I am drawing on my love of living in a heart-space to compliment the Reiki Master training materials. Living from the heart becomes a natural extension of working with Reiki energy and the focus of the training will be not just learning how to work with Reiki, but also how to bring heart and love to all you do.

“This class came at just the right time for me to open my heart and trust my intuition. The last 6 months has given me a lot of personal/spiritual growth.” – Heather B.

Reiki Master training consists of 10 classes over the course of 5 months. We meet about every two months for a weekend. There is time for practice, as well as contemplation, learning and discovering new things and ideas. There are also supplemental videos and live Q and A sessions between in-person classes. You will learn all you need to be able to offer Reiki in a professional setting. However, the class is also appropriate for those that wish to further their understanding of Reiki and connection to their heart space.

The class size is limited. The tuition for Reiki Master training is $1508 and it can be paid in installments.

“You are a very good teacher, very knowledgeable, well spoken. I will miss seeing you every other week.” – Bonnie B.

In this training we will be working with Love for no Reason book by Marci Schimoff. It will be mailed to you when the class is confirmed to be happening.

The training is structured to follow the rise of Kundalini through the chakras. We start at the root and go up, up, up!

We will also touch on complimentary modalities like aromatherapy, working with natural stones, acupressure and auriculotherapy.

Reiki Master Teacher Training

This is a step you need to take if you want to teach Reiki classes to others. This training is available as an apprenticeship. It is open only to my Reiki Master students. We will work one on one to get you ready to teach! We meet for private two hour classes to go over all the materials and information you need to teach.

Cost is $333 and includes three 2 hour private classes, and two Reiki shares. You are required to attend a Reiki share and then to lead one. If a student feels that more time is necessary to gain confidence, additional classes will be arranged at $60 an hour.

Classes can be held over Skype, while Reiki Shares will be in person.

Thai Bodywork Beginner Training

Thai Bodywork is an ancient energy-based healing system that combines acupressure, reflexology, and assisted yoga postures. Treatment effects are enhanced when the patient is fully relaxed and breathing deeply.

Traditional Thai bodywork uses no oils or lotions, and the recipient remains clothed during a treatment. There is constant body contact between the practitioner and client, but rather than rubbing on muscles, the body is compressed, pulled, stretched and rocked in order to clear energy blockages and relieve tension. The practitioner uses thumbs, palms, forearms, elbows, knees and feet to create a dance of movement on the body of the recipient. In this process, joints are opened, muscles and tendons are stretched, internal organs are toned, and energy is balanced. The overall effect is one of deep relaxation, rejuvenation, and physical and mental well being.

For many, traditional Thai Bodywork is also a spiritual discipline in that it incorporates the practices of mindfulness (breath awareness) and loving kindness (focused compassion). These techniques, when shared by practitioner and client, help bring the treatment session to a focused and deep level.

My clients have been enjoying receiving this wonderful bodywork, but now you can learn Thai Bodywork yourself in this 2 day workshop!
